5 April 1944: Ball turret gunner SSGT Roland Clark of the 452nd Bomb Group touches up the nose art of "Dog Breath" (B-17G 42-31330) following battle damage repairs. While still in training in Pyote, Texas, the crew spent time at a local bar. Pilot Herman “Butch” Beuchat would often have trouble getting his copilot Everett Phillips out of bed the next morning.
