- Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. OPERATION HOMECOMING---Captain Laurence V. Friese, a Marine Bombadier navigator, is greeted by Marine Master Sergeant Francisco E. Lociano on the Clark Air Base Flight line. Captain Friese was captured by enemy Viet Cong forces, the 24th of February 1968, when his aircraft went down during a combat mission. Captain Friese, serving with Marine Aircraft Group-11, was released by the enemy 14 March 1973 and hospitalized at this United States...
