- Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. OPERATION HOMECOMING---Marine Sergeant Ronald L. Ridgeway of Houston, Texas bids farewell to well-wishers at the Clark flight line. Sergeant (Sgt.) Ridgeway is happy to be on his way to see his sweetheart in Texas. Sergeant Ridgeway was captured by enemy forces on the 25th of February 1968, and released from custody at Hanoi, North Vietnam on 16 March, 1973. He was reported missing in action South of the Khe Sanh and on August 15, 1968, he was reported killed in action

Also in this series are photos of Operation Homecoming, the return of American Marine prisoners of war to the United States.
