- Fleet Marine Force Pacific, (FMFPac), Hawaii. Photographer: Sergeant (Sgt.) R. K. Dotson. POW's RETURN--Lieutenant Colonel Chapman, who had been a prisoner for more than seven years, arrived in Hawaii at 8 a.m. on the flight from Clark Air Base in the Philippines along with 19 former prisoners from the other three branches of the Armed Services. After a rest period of an hour and a half in the lounge of the Marine Air Command (MAC) terminal at Hickam, the former prisoners and their escorts continued...
