OPERATION SKULL--As the Command Post Group of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines, comes under light sniper fire, Private First Class Dennis A. Olsen of Headquarters & Supply (H&S) Company, Motor Transport Section, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines (from Springville, Utah), gets under cover in the ready position while another Marine crawls for cover.

These captioned, black & white photographs include scenes from combat and evacuation operations; and personalities such as President Ngo Dinh Diem, US presidents Johnson and Nixon, and personalities such as Walter Cronkite, Martha Raye, and Bob Hope. There are views of interactions between Marine Corps personnel and Vietnamese civilians. Also in this series are photos of Operation Homecoming, the return of American Marine prisoners of war to the United States.
