Annotation added: 3rd Marine Division. Photographer: Staff Sergeant H. C. Batchelor. THE PAUSE THAT REFRESHES--Captain P. P. Collins, Colorado of Recon Company, 3rd Marines, 9th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB), has Private First Class K. H. White pour water over his head to cool off after the Village of Dong Son had been secured. Viet Cong was suspected of hiding there.

During rain, soaked marines of Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, huddle under stretched pancho liner for protection. They were building bunkers for fire base LZ Cates when shower caught them.

The action took place about twenty five miles south-west of Da Nang near Hill 29.
