Jeremiah Castleberry was the brother of Joseph V. Castleberry. Joseph died at Chickamauga. According to stories told by Jeremiah later in his life, he and Joseph were walking down the road side-by-side when a sniper shot Joseph, a wound which would prove to be fatal for Joseph.
