Trouble signing in?

Please try resetting your password by visiting the following page:

Forgot your password?

After filling in the form, you will be sent an email from accounts@footnote.com which will contain a link to our "Change Password" page. You will be prompted to enter a new password. (Note: Passwords are case sensitive and must be at least 6 characters.) If you follow these steps, you will be signed in to your account with the new password.

Microsoft Vista using Internet Explorer

When using Windows Vista, add https://footnote.com as a Trusted Site in Internet Explorer. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Tools"
  2. "Internet Options"
  3. "Security" tab
  4. "Trusted Sites"
  5. "Sites" button

Add https://footnote.com as a trusted site. If you have any more questions, contact Footnote Support at 1-800-613-0181.

The Footnote Viewer will not load (Screen is black)

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling your Flash Player plug-in. To do this, follow the instructions below.

Uninstall Flash
  1. Download the appropriate uninstaller from: Adobe Flash Uninstaller
  2. Run the uninstaller, making sure that all browsers and other applications are closed
Install Flash

Visit Adobe Flash Player. Follow the instructions given there.

What memberships does Footnote offer?

We offer an Annual Membership for $69.95 or a Monthly Membership for $11.95. Choose a plan for additional details on pricing and memberships.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) or debit cards carrying the logo for one of these major credit card companies. We also accept checks or money orders. To send us this method of payment, please mail to:

Please also include a note with your name, address, phone number, email address, and the type of subscription you want (i.e., monthly or annual). Checks should be made payable to Footnote.

How do I change my automatic renewal?

You can adjust your account’s auto-renew settings by following these steps:

  • Go to Your Account
  • Click the "Auto-renewal Settings" link
  • On the next page, change the settings as you wish
  • Click the “Save Changes” button
