Some of history's most interesting stories are waiting to be found in the documents on Footnote, on the web or in your shoebox. When you find something, you can use Spotlights to easily bring those stories into the light for other people to see.
Use a Spotlight when you want to highlight an interesting document you find or add to Footnote without writing a long description or adding a lot of detail (Story Pages are better suited to longer work). With a Spotlight, all you need is a title explaining what you found and why it's interesting.
To create a Spotlight, go to the image you want to Spotlight and click the "Spotlight" button. To highlight just a portion of the image click the small arrow to the right of the button.
Once you've selected your image, enter a title for your Spotlight that explains what you are highlighting. If you want to add additional description you can enter it in the box below the title.
