After years of searching for my gr-grandfather (on my maternal side), I've located the grave and Civil War record for Joseph Thomas Lancaster, b. 27 Oct 1836, d. 2 Nov 1911.
Several Lancaster researchers have helped me located various pieces of information over the years. I found several sources of information on the Lancaster family in Texas and with the help of one of my relatives, Dr. Oran Roberts, I have been able to put together several pieces of information about the Civil War service record for Joseph Thomas Lancaster.
The tombstone is located at Newcastle Cemetery, Young County, Texas.
