  Stephen D. Cannedy a former resident  passed away at his home in McKinney, Texas. He was the 8th child of a family of 10 boys and two girls, all now deceased except Martin Vanburen Cannedy. He was married to Nancy Caroline Spradley in 1851, who died some 30 yrs. ago. To this union 5 daughters were born, 2 of whom are now living and are residents of McKinney, Texas. He was buried in Texas.

 He married Nancy Caroline Spradley May 10th, 1851 in Greene Co.IL. (Lic.#2956)  Born Aug. 8, 1828 died March 25, 1879 in Rockbridge Illinois. at the age of 50 yrs. old, Burial in Rosehill Cem. Greenfield,Illinois.

 children were: Harriet N. Thompson born 1852 Greenfield IL., Julia B. born 1853 in Greenfield,IL., Henrietta born 1858 in Greenfield, Virginia H. born 1859 Greenfield,IL., Helen Woods born 1860 Greene Co. IL., Isabelle B. born 1863 died 1864.

Two of their children Helen Woods died in 1938 in McKinney, Texas and another daughter Harriett N. Thompson died 1922 in Sherman, Grayson Co. Texas...
