H A Horne

His father died in 1917 and his mother in 1925.  He was only 15 when he was "on his own."  He did not have anyplace to call home.  He slept wherever he happened to be - usually at a brother's or sister's house.  He married Vera Missie Jones in 1931 at Telfair County, Georgia.  When he was little, his uncle told him to us Abishai as his middle name and he would give him a silver dollar.  He was really excited about having a silver dollar, so he agreed.  No on told him how to spell the name, so he spelled it like it sounded to him - Abishey.  Full name - Hillery Abishey Horne, Sr.
