Michael Phelps breaks Mark Spitz's record!

17 Aug 2008 | Beijing, China 2008 Summer Olympics

Michael Phelps has done what many believed would never be accomplished. In one olympic game he has earned 8 out of 8 gold medals, has set 7 world records and 1 olympic record. In 1972 Mark Spitz set the exception with 7 gold medals and 7 world records. That feat stood for 36 years and has finally been eclipsed by Michael Phelps. The comparisons are below.
