Grandma was the best cook in the world.  She always had a garden and grew most of her own vegetables.  She was the best dill pickle maker ever and I used to love to visit her as the house always smelled of fresh baked bread.  She was a very giving person and very energetic.  You have to be to be able to do all that she did.  My favorite thing was when she baked her fanatastic Carmel Pecan cinnamon rolls!  MMMMM  I can smell them now! My mom picked up her cooking abilities and I am trying.  She was the 10th of 11 kids half of whom were born in Austria and the other half in various midwestern states.  She and grandpa loved to fish also.  She was always a chubby lady, probably from eating all that good food.  Her skin was like satin smooth.  And I don't think she ever got wrinkles!  She was in her 90's when she went into the next life and lost much of her memory before she left us.  I will always think about her when I smell fresh bread!
