George Hook was a life long optician having worked for American Opitcal, Gibbiney (sic) Opitical, Caldwell Optical, and the eyewear division at Parmelee Plastics in Kansas City, MO. He was a gifted singer with a beautiful baritone voice and played the guitar. He sang on the vaudeville circuit in the Midwest during the 1920s before marrying and settling down. He was married three times (his first wife died). He had three children of those marriages (his first born, a son, Billy, died at age 4). His surviving children are: Dorothy (Dottie) (Kansas City, MO) Twins: Jean and Janette (Jan) (Kansas City, MO) Walter (Jacksonville, FL) George, Jr. (Dallas, TX) Donald (Syracuse, NY) Helen (Mountain Grove, MO) Joyce (Wichita, KS) He was born in Des Moines, IA. He is buried in Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
