Flying Squadron's 100-mile march

Pfc Fred C. Elber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Elber, 2629 Monroe Ave. took part in the 100-mile dash to Manilla staged by thr First Calvary Division's "Flying Squadron" which smashed through Jap defenses around the city and liberated the internees at Santa Tomas.
