Henry Feaster [1], my 5-greats grandfather, obtained a Warrantee of Land in Berks County (85 Acres, Date of Survey: Sept. 18, 1792) under his father's name, Feister, as it appeared on the ship's passenger list in 1752. In the 1780s, he paid taxes and was later married under the angelicized spelling. This is his only known use of Feister. The original German spelling probably had a silent 'P' as Pfeister appears on several ship's passenger lists. See pages iii, v and 262. - Annotation http://www.footnote.com/viewer.php?image=3371809&fcfToken= Henry Feaster [1], my 5-greats grandfather, obtained a Warrantee of Land in Berks County (85 Acres, Date of Survey: Sept. 18, 1792) under his father's name, Feister, as it appeared on the ship's passenger list in 1752.
