    This is my great-great grand father. The name was John George Bader, born 9 Dec 1825 in Baden-Baden, Germany. He fought in the German War of 1848 before he came to America in 1850. His daughter, Mary Elizabeth Bader Arbuthnot, recorded the company he was in and that he was with Gen. Sherman on his "March to the Sea." During his time in the war, he was injured twice.
