Actually, the firm name was A. & E. Mittenthal, but the mistake lies in the original publication, not Footnote's indexing of it.

Bertha Tappert. She and Constantine Langenberg, recorded here as "C. Langenberg," later divorced. He died in Peoria, Illinois, in 1876.

C. Langenberg is Constantine Langenberg, born in Blankenhain, Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. He was the brother of Louis Langenberg, of Fulton and Morrison, Whiteside County, Illinois, who later moved to Peoria, Illinois. Constantine Langenberg died in Peoria in 1876.
