There were seven witnesses supporting William Foster's claim and, for me, the most interesting is Thomas Cecil, shown at the bottom of this page. In an effort to document William Foster's relationship to the Fosters in Wayne County, KY, the name "Cecil" is an important one. William Foster Jr had on older brother named John Foster. William Foster and wife Pheba (last name unknow) migrated from Virgina to Wayne County, Kentucky around 1810. They had six children and this document concerns one of of them; William Foster Jr. William Foster Jr. was born in Virginia, met his wife, Martha "Patsy" Hubbard, in Wayne County, then moved to McMinn County, Tennessee around 1820.
