Neither Kagi nor Cook's wife (Mary Virginia [Kennedy] Cook) were "residents" of Chambersburg, PA. Kagi stayed (so it may be said he resided in a sense) at the Ritner Boarding House (see http://johnbrownhouse.tripod.com) in Chambersburg while receiving boxes of weapons and goods and planning the raid on Harpers Ferry. Mary Cook went to Chambersburg just before the raid and stayed at the Ritner ...moremade a comment on this Footnote Page. 07 Sep 2008
