First Canal Zone casualty in WWII
Three Panama Canal Zone residents were killed while serving with the USAAF. This was the first one, 2nd Lt. James W. Bunker ,bombardier in the 322nd Bomber Group,451st Bomber Squadron. The other two were killed in a B-29 and a C-47 on D-Day 6-6-44
