Louisiana Purchase and Treaty Cover - 30 Apr 1803

The Louisiana Purchase consisted of 828,000 square miles of French Territory in the southern area of North America. The French were paid $11,250,000 plus cancellation of debts of $3,750,000 resulting in a total price of $23,213,568 after interest.
