Joseph A. Gould shot down while flying bombing mission to Calais.

Navigator Joseph A. Gould's plane, a Marauder, was shot down on 20 April 1944. He landed in a mine field, broke his ankle, and was captured by Germans. See Story entitled "Joe Gould's POW Experience."
