Smoot was mayor of Salt Lake City, 1857-1866, then mayor of Provo, UT, 1868-1880. By 1887, he had married 6 times & had 27 children. One wife, Diana, & 3 children (Brigham, Anna & Ida) were called as witnesses. More information is in the file.
