Confederate Soldier to Union Sailor: Forsyth County, NC to USS Monticello

This is Thomas Mock, a private in the 54th NC Regiment. He was a prisoner of war twice, and, following his second capture, enlisted in the Union Navy. His name can be found on Terry Foenander's Website: US Civil War Navies, under Galvanized Tars.
