William Leefe Robinson, the first man to shoot down a Zeppelin
William Leefe Robinson was at St. Bees School in Cumberland (Cumbria) where there is a memorial to him in the school chapel. He was seen as a hero because the British were being bombed for the first time and it had proven difficult to stop Zeppelins
